Narrative

Cher and her best friend Dionne get two depressed teachers to go out together and when they succeeded they chose to give the new girl Tai a make over to try to get her a boyfriend. Tai starts to like a boy who's part of the "losers" group, so Cher quickly directs her to a more attractive, popular boyfriend. They go to a party and Tai gets injured by hitting her head, and Elton (the popular boy) helps her and she starts to like him, leaving the "loser" boy alone. Whilst playing matchmaker, Cher falls for a boy called Christian but later finds out he's gay but they end up as best friends. Cher's (ex) step brother Josh came to stay with them for a while and starts flirting with Tai. Tai realises how popular she's getting and starts bullying Cher and Dionne, until she realises how much they did for her and then she try's to make up with them. By the end of the film Cher and her ex step brother fall in love and get together.

Three important things that happen:

-Cher and Dionne give Tai a makeover to get her a boyfriend

-Tai likes Elton but Elton likes Cher and he assaults her

-Josh and Cher kiss at the end of the film

How would the story change if they happened in a different order?

Tai probably wouldn't have found out or liked Elton if she didn't become popular and friends with all his friends. If Josh and Cher wouldn't have kissed at the beginning of the film because they hated each other, but if they did Elton may not have assaulted her because she might have had a boyfriend.

We know it's set in Beverly Hills because Cher says in the beginning.

According to Wikipedia Clueless is 'loosely based on Jane Austen's 1815 novel Emma, with a modern-day setting of Beverly Hills. The plot centers on Cher Horowitz, a beautiful, popular and rich high school student who befriends a new student named Tai Fraser and decides to give her a makeover.

Disruption- Cher and Dionne see Tai and think she's in need of a makeover

Recognition Of Disruption- Cher and Dionne make friends with Tai and persuade her to let them help her

Attempt To Solve Disruption- Tai gets her makeover and becomes popular, she gets a boyfriend whilst Cher is left single because she's so busy being a matchmaker. But Tai falls out with the other girls.

New Equilibrium- all the girls fall in love and everything is fine because all the girls are friends again.
